GE Profile PFWS4600LWW 27 Front-Load Steam Washer 4.3 cu. ft. Capacity Energy Star Qualified White

This washer-dryer combo makes the chore fun. Amazing capability and flexibility for washing/drying small to giant loads. The spin cycle is REALLY fast, so clothes take very little time in the dryer. I'm amazed when the washer says - "communicating load information to dryer" and the dryer display says "receiving load information from washer" - I didn't know this feature was part of the package. The canned cycles are numerous and can be over-ridden with whatever choice you would like. Controls are intuitive and allow stopping early in the wash cycle if the forgotten item needs to go in.This was also my first experience with a gas dryer and the conversion to propane - it is not simple or cheap but can be done by a qualified appliance service person. DON'T buy at a big box store if you need a propane dryer! HD was absolutely clueless and had to take a Samsung pair back. The optional base is well made (vs some competitors) and places the doors at just the right height - no bending over to load.

LG WT5001CW 4.5 cu. Ft. Top Load Washer - White

We retired our basic Whirlpool washer after 10 years of faithful service and upgraded to this one. Like everyone else who reads these reviews, I did my research prior to buying. I knew front loaders were out, didn't want to deal with a moldy smell. Next I looked for capacity with regards to price. I ended up narrowing it down between this and the Whirlpool Cabrio. I had to choose between a loyalty brand buy or going with a relatively new product. What sold me on this machine was the direct drive motor, the cold water wash option, large capacity, it looks good and the negative reviews of the Cabrio. Our family consists of a 4 year old who likes to wear her food instead of eating it, 2 crazy chihuahuas who love having a 4 year old in the house and I am a jet mechanic. Many loads later, I feel I made a good decision buying this machine. It has cut our laundry time in half! This washer can handle twice as many clothes as our old one. Washing our king sized bedding is not a problem for this cleaning machine. I have yet to see this washer not clean our clothes. In fact, the second day we had this unit, I found my daughter had left a crayon in her pocket. Of course I found it when I went to pull the clothes out of the dryer and the inside was coated in melted RED wax! Every single piece of clothing had a red stain on it, to include a couple white shirts and my uniforms. After reading about different ways to remove the stains (W-D 40, vinegar, dish soap, elbow grease...) I thought why…

Maytag Maxima EcoConserve MHW6000XW 27 Front-Load Washer with 4.3 cu. ft. Capacity - White

I LOVE the washer. Once I got it up the stairs (the seller forgot to mention that it was EXTRA to have the delivery men take it up the stairs so I had to wait for someone to come over with handtrucks and two strapping young lads), got it hooked up and running (don't forget to take out the shipping bolts in the back or it will "walk" to you when it is in use) it is an AMAZING machine! The cloths are cleaner and not to mention almost dry (the spinning of the machine takes out most of the water). The only complaint is I wish that it had a light in the drum so I could see it work! The reason I said I wish I had bought it at Lowe's...No set up. The delivery people didn't follow my instructions on the number to call. No set up provided or offered. Wouldn't take it up the stairs without an extra fee I wasn't even notified about. It also was delivered AFTER the promised date! I bought the matching dryer at Lowe's and though I paid more for it than I would have ordering it on Amazon.com it was installed (the delivery men even helped me move my laundry out of the laundry room, talk about EXCELLENT SERVICE), they brought it up the stairs and even moved my old one down the stairs and into the garage for me at NO extra fee. Well worth the extra!

LG WM2240CW 27 Front-Load Washer 3.7 cu. ft. Capacity Energy Star Qualified

I bought my washer almost two years ago, and I love it. It's big enough to wash the King size comforter I have, but also is very efficient at washing my small loads of hand washable bras without using a lot of water and destroying them.Other reviews have complained about not knowing about cleaning out the filter. It states it in the owners manual. I have cleaned mine out once in the time I've owned it, and I didn't get much out. It was easy and simple to do.I also like the self cleaning function. If I leave laundry in to long, I like being able to press a button to clean it, and then let it air dry and have the smell gone. The biggest complaint I have about mine is that it is no longer level. I suppose this should be expected though since I don't have a single level floor in my apartment, and after so many spin cycles it's bound to shift things around. It is just a little inconveinent since the owners manual also points out how crucial it is for it to be level.Other than that once in a while it gets stuck on the rinse cycle and will display the last ten minutes for an hour. This is easily resolved by stopping the cycle and turning on the rinse and spin option. Since it only seems to occur during heavy loads, it might trace back to the fact I need to level it again.Overall I love my washer. While it is just me and my husband we run about a load a day to keep his uniforms for work clean. We are two years in and going strong. The warranty on the motor is good, lasting 10 years. My…

Whirlpool Duet WFW94HEXW 27 Front-Load Washer 5.0 cu. ft. Capacity - White

We Had a set of whirlpool duet for 10 years, was repaired countless times in that time frame. When the washer failed my repairman said to buy a new set instead of fixing. Ironically he wanted me to by another Whirlpool, most likely so he had something to fix in the future. I did however like how the set washed and dried so I purchased this set.Had a two week wait for my order. The day my set was installed I washed the washer out with Affresh as recommended by the manufacturer. The machine broke, one of the plastic fins inside the machine shattered. I called for a replacement and was told to go ahead and wash, that it would not effect the wash cycle. I did so, since I didn't want to wait yet another 2 weeks, making it a month since I had a functioning machine. The very first load it didn't spin the water out. It was hit or miss whether the spin cycle would work. When it didn't the articles were soaked to the max & couldn't be placed in the dryer for obvious reasons. Had to rewash and pray that it would work. Usually I ended up hanging it out to dry, bare in mind that it weighed 5 pounds or more from the article being saturated, line drying was not possible. I put up with the thinking that this particular washer was a lemon and was getting it's replacement soon. Two weeks later... The new washer is installed. I show the repair man the beautiful destructive nature of Affresh tablets(developed by Whirlpool to clean front loaders & dishwashers monthly). & I informed him…

Electrolux EIFLS55IIW 4.2 cu. ft. Front Load Steam Washer - IQ-Touch Control Island White

Got this washer one month ago - Absolutely love it! Best of all - So does the wife! Great wash and spin options. Clothes are clean, machine is quiet and quick. Most loads wash in approx. 30 minutes. Like most washers that spin 1000 miles per hour, the clothes are a little wrinkled but a good shake on the way to the dryer and they come out great. The spin cycle really drys the clothes well. Small side benefit - you can pour the liquid directly into the dispenser without measuring as the dispenser has lines indicating the amount. Keeps the bottle a little cleaner and no dripping cap to clean off. Huge door that makes it easy to get clothes in and out. I recommend the stand although it seems very over priced, but in line with others I have seen.

Samsung WF331ANW / WF331ANW/XAA / WF331ANW/XAA WF331ANW Front Load Washer

If you want to beat the life out of your clothes and have excessive fade of clothing then this is the washer for you. We have washed on normal and heavy duty with OK cleaning results...the only problem is cottons show pilling, colors have fade and overall clothes look beaten-up. We use delicate cycle for everything now and this corrects those problems (we live with this because we only used one cycle on our previous washer). Still leaves us with one problem - wetter than normal clothes. We are not first time frontload washer owners and did not expect this problem. We would recommend looking for another washer.

Samsung WF330ANW 3.7 cu. ft. High Efficiency Front-Load Washer - White

Do not buy this washer!!! I cannot tell you of the frustration I have had. I had read the previous reviews but purchased it anyway. I figured there were too few reviews to give an accurate representation. Well, what a mistake!!! The washer will spend hours slowly tumbling the clothes, trying to balance the load as it goes into the spin cycle. Eventually, it gives up and re-rinses things. A load can literally take 2 hours. One load took 3 hours before I gave up and took out the wet clothes and air-dried them. And these delayed cycles have happened about half the time I have done laundry. I cannot believe Samsung puts such stuff on the market.

Top Load Washer With 3.3 cu. ft. Stainless Steel Wash Tub

23 of 24 people found the following review helpful 5.0 out of 5 starsBest washer built and also it's made in the USA., July 11, 2010 By Satisfied PS3 Owner (Tennessee) - See all my reviewsI am the proud owner of a washing machine built in Wisconsin. That's right. The Good Ole USA does still build some great things and this is one of them. The Speed Queen top loader represents (in my words) a winner and the most refined development of a classic top load washing machine. It is clearly the result of Speed Queen's many decades of experience buiding and selling machines to American families and launder mats across this wide world. This machine is refined to the nth degree to do nothing but produce clean soft clothes day in and day out over the years and do it with a few simple settings and no worries or front loader musty smells and expensive service agreements. Use the money you would have spent in the service agreement for that front loader from oversees you are eyeing and buy a solid washer from the USA.Mine is white. They all are. Her paint job has three different coats. I swear the last must be a clear coat because she shines like a soft pearl in our laundry. She has no lights or buttons and she needs none. She is undemanding. To start, I set the water level (yes, I do that, not the machine), select one of three cycles, measure the detergent and toss it into her beautifully made stainless steel wash tub and maybe add some softener into the best and most effective agitator available…

Bravos Series 4.6 Cu. Ft. Capacity XL HE Top Load Washer with PowerWash System 13 Washing Cycles Enhanced IntelliClean Impeller Energy Star Rated: White

Our previous washer was a Maytag that lasted a long time. It was a top load that did a nice job and we were always happy with it until it finally gave out. So when it was time for a new one, we went with Maytag again. This new Maytag HE is fantastic, we love everything about it. It is quieter, uses less detergent and water, has a lot more options, and gets clothes cleaner than our old washer. I was skeptical about the HE detergent at first, but after using it for a couple of months, I would never consider going back to the old stuff again! Since we use less detergent per load, the bottles last longer, even though the HE detergent comes in smaller bottles. I like the clear see-thru cover on this machine - you can see if there is anything in it when you walk by (since wife and I both do laundry). It gets clothes cleaner, too. Our 4-year old has Spongebob yellow wristbands that he wears everywhere, and they were dingy after a few months with the old washer. One wash in this one, and they were brighter yellow again. This machine has a lot of nice options. You can set it to "Sheets" for a load of just sheets. We use "Power Wash" for the nasty loads (vomit, etc.). The machine has presets for each option, but you can also always change water temp, add an extra rinse, etc. if you want to. The machine gives you a "clean cycle" indicator light after every 30 loads, when you are suggested to use a cleaning tablet. We do this and have not had any of the odor problems…

Samsung WA5451ANW 27 Top-Load Washer 4.7 cu. ft. Capacity, 1,100 RPM Stainless Steel Diamond Drum

Overall we enjoy this washing machine, it does a great job washing clothes, uses plenty of water etc we haven't had many of the problems that you might see people ranting about, most of which boil down to reading the users manual..If you are having no luck with hot water on the normal cycle, select the 'heavy' soil option. Apparently the way this machine is designed requires the selection of this option to get a hot water wash. This is not described in the users manual and customer support was not able to tell me to do this. I however was able to get a hold of someone at Samsung that worked with me to get the problem solved.I am extremely pleased with how this washing machine washed clothes and the customer service that I received from Samsung.

Samsung WF210ANW 3.5 cu. Ft. High Efficiency Front-Load Washer - White

Since I first bought my Samsung washing machine, it hasn't worked properly. It gets unbalanced, stops mid-cycle and locks the door about every 10 loads. Which may not sound like a big deal, except you have to get on your hands and knees and drain the tub manually with a bucket to get the electronic door to unlock, so you can adjust the clothes and run another rinse & spin cycle. Some single loads of laundry have required 4 or more rinse cycles before the cycle will complete successfully. Their repair services has been unable to fix the problem, after multiple visits. Their call center gives me the run-around, asking me to flip my switch on my breaker box 1000 times, even though, after 7+ calls to them, we have safely ruled out electricity as the problem. This purchase was a complete disaster.UPDATE - After 15 months, when I paid myself for yet another visit from the repair man, the washing machine stopped in mid-cycle while the repair man was standing right there. He said "That never happens!" and I said "#$%#%#$^^%^$^#%$#%, it has been happening for 15 months!!!!" He said the only thing that would make the washer stop in mid-cycle, intermittently, with no mechanical symptoms, is a bad computer. The computer was crashing. He talked to Samsung and I talked to Samsung and they agreed to extend my warranty to cover the repair, since the problem existed from the first day I bought the machine, it just took them 15 months to figure out what it was. It has been…

25 of 25 people found the following review helpful 5.0 out of 5 starsREALLY like this washer!, May 25, 2011 By c2 (Dublin, Ohio) - See all my reviews(TOP 500 REVIEWER)  (VINE VOICE)  Not finding recent reviews helpful myself on appliances, I decided to wait at least a year (2.4 years to be exact)before reviewing this washer and dryer set. After MUCH research online and thinking that I deserved to pay the extra to get the red, I ordered this machine, not knowing at the time that it was the number one rated front-loading washing machine by Consumer Reports. I have found it to be quite the machine. If you have a top loader like I used to, a Maytag even that died after only 12 years, then be SURE to put a "clean" towel into this washer, using NO soap and see how much soap this machine will get out of your "clean" towel! Totally amazing, that's for sure! And, if you have young children that are into character bedding then you know that most of them are made in Pakistan of so-so quality cotton, stiff and itchy no matter how many times you wash them. Well, toss them into one of these machines and voila! No more itchy, scratchy kids sheets! The best part of this machine is how soft that it makes all your clothes and towels. The next best thing is how much energy, water, and laundry soap you save. I do a ton of laundry and the water alone saved is unbelievable. This guy paid for itself very quickly just because of the water alone. And, it only uses $11 a year…
